Collection: Jars of Clay
Mixed Media Cyanotypes on Watercolor Paper
Jars of Clay is a meditation on resilience, grace, and transformation. Each piece begins as a cyanotype—created by hand-mixing light-sensitive chemistry and brushing it onto heavy watercolor paper. Through deliberate overexposure and the addition of pigments and solutions, the surface takes on unexpected tones, veils of texture, and luminous layers that echo the imperfections and beauty of being human.
This series of six vessels reflects the idea that we are all formed, shaped, and refined through time and experience—fragile yet enduring, ordinary yet sacred. Like the clay jars they represent, each piece holds traces of light, story, and spirit within.
