Autumn Trace

I laid these Japanese maple leaves straight onto the paper and let the sun trace their exact shape in blue, then came back with gold to pick out every vein once it dried. There's something about fall foliage that feels like it's leaving a mark on purpose, like it wants to be remembered before it lets go.
