Last of the Season

I picked this stem up on an ordinary supermarket run, the kind of small, unplanned pretty that's easy to walk right past. I laid it straight onto the paper and let the sun trace its exact shape in blue, then came back with gold to outline every fold before I let it go. Sometimes the most ordinary flowers make the best excuse to stop and notice something.
