After the Surrender

This piece was born alongside Surrendered, made at the same time, from the same hands, the same process, the same letting go.

I didn't plan the color. I didn't plan the light. I simply let it come, and this is what arrived. Brighter, fuller, more alive. Alstroemeria blooms finding their way through layers of painted paper, vintage sheet music, and gold against deep indigo blue.

That is what surrender does. You don't know what will bloom until you let go of what you thought it should be.
