Under the Willow Oak: Wild

I found a willow oak in Salida. A Southern tree, quietly rooted in Colorado, far from where I expected to find it. These small studies began with cyanotype and collage, then palette knife and heavy body acrylic, finished with gold pen. Each one is a different way of seeing the same leaf, the same tree, the same unexpected belonging. This one is wild. One of a kind, framed in black and gold.
